This version is based on the 8.2 Ptr version of nUI (nUI_820_30827_0a).

Hopefully a single version of the addon will work on Classic and Live but for now I will keep them as separate addons until everything has been tested out and confirmed as working.

I spent a few hours relogging in to catch all the log in errors on a single character and then played for a minutes to make sure no regular combat errors appeared. I haven't checked every character yet but I have them set up to test out tomorrow ( assuming I am allowed in )

INTRO

KompUI (Classic) is a minimalistic UI for the Classic version of WoW.

Retail version is WIP

The goal of this UI is to provide a simple and pleasing UI with minimal addon usage.

Currently, this UI only uses 3 addons:
ElvUI
WeakAuras
SharedMedia

FEATURES

Simple design - This UI keeps clutter to a minimum!
Easy to read - Information is still visible, but only when needed!
Class colors - The UI's color changes depending on what class you're playing!
DataBar Cycling - You can click the little arrows to the left and right of your XP bar to also see your rep and honor bars!
Immersion - This addon compilation sticks to the basics. Only the base look of the UI is modified. This compilation does NOT include addons that might alter or break the immersion and feel of the Classic WoW experience, such as map addons, LFG addons, or quest addons.

INSTALLATION

Step 1:


Backup your current UI.
If you already use ElvUI, be sure to save your current ElvUI profile and back it up.

Ensure WoW is closed/exited, completely to desktop.

Step 2:


Install ElvUI (Classic).
ElvUI can be found here:
https://www.tukui.org/classic-addons.php?id=2

Once downloaded, extract the ElvUI and ElvUI_OptionsUI folders to "_classic_\Interface\AddOns" in your WoW installation folder.

Step 3:


Install WeakAuras 2.

You can use the Twitch app to install and manage WeakAuras, or you may manually download and install it from here:
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/weakauras-2

If you manually install it, extract the WeakAuras, WeakAurasModelPaths, and WeakAurasOptions folder to "_classic_\Interface\AddOns" in your WoW installation folder.

Step 4:


Download the attached download file found on this page, called "KompUI.zip"

Extract the folders KompUI, SharedMedia, and SharedMedia_MyMedia to "_classic_\Interface\AddOns" in your WoW installation folder.

Step 5:


Run WoW:Classic
Ensure your addons are enabled. You may receive a warning about 'out of date addons' due to SharedMedia being ported from Retail(BfA). Load anyways.

Log into your character.

Skip the ElvUI setup process. We will be overriding the settings anyways.

Step 6:


Open the ElvUI settings by typing "/ec" in chat and pressing enter.

Select "Profiles" in the ElvUI settings window.

(Remember to backup your current ElvUI profiles if you have one!!!)

Select "Import Profile"

Paste this string into the box that pops up:

Select "Import Now"

You will be given an option to name the newly imported profile. ElvUI will automatically recommend a name for it, based on your currently logged in character and realm. I recommend saving this profile as recommended by ElvUI (so, just hit "OK"). This allows you to make changes to the ElvUI profile you just imported, but have it saved specifically to your character.

If it any point you wish to reset your ElvUI profile back to the KompUI 'default', repeat this entire step. Be sure to backup your current profile first.

Close the ElvUI settings window.

Step 7:


Open the WeakAuras settings window by typing "/wa" in chat and hitting enter.

Under "External", select "Import"

KkthnxUI is a simplistic user interface that holds onto the information and functionality, while still keeping most of the good looks.
It can be used for any class or role.

How to install
If you're familiar with it, simply clone the repository to 2 folders named KkthnxUI and KkthnxUI_Config inside your World of Warcraft addons folder.

If not, and you need to do this manually, then download and unzip it to your `World of Warcraft\\Interface\\AddOns\\` directory.

Also, make sure the game is closed when moving new files into the addon directory as it is unable to discover new files when it's already running.

Simple Design - This UI keeps clutter to a minimum!
Easy to Read - Information is still visible, but only when needed!
Class Colors - The UI's color changes depending on what class you're playing!
DataBar Cycling - You can click the little arrows to the left and right of your XP bar to also see your rep and honor bars!
Immersive - This addon compilation sticks to the basics. Only the base look of the UI is modified. This compilation does NOT include addons that might alter or break the immersion and feel of the Classic WoW experience, such as map addons, LFG addons, or quest addons.



INSTALLATION




Step 1: Backup your current UI. If you already have ElvUI installed, backup your current ElvUI profiles.

Step 2: Ensure WoW is closed/exited, completely to desktop.

Step 3: Install ElvUI (Classic). LINK

Step 4: Install WeakAuras 2 (Classic). LINK

Step 5: Download KompUI.zip and extract to your _classic_ addons folder.
KompUI.zip can be downloaded from the big "Download" button on this page, or from this LINK

Step 6: Launch WoW. Go to the character select screen. If you see an addon warning, click "Load Anyways". Log into your character.

Step 7: If this is your first time using ElvUI, click "Skip Process". Otherwise, type /ec in chat, and click "Profiles" in the ElvUI settings window.
Click "Import Profile"
Copy the code below and paste it into the Import Profile window in-game, then click "Import Now"

Q: "I have green boxes! How do I fix it?"

A: If you followed the steps above, and you have green boxes all over your screen (see screenshot below), then this means that WeakAuras can not find textures.

Common reasons this happens:
1 - You did not download and extract the KompUI.zip file from the "DOWNLOAD" link in the upper-right corner of this site. You must download the KompUI.zip file and extract the folders into your Addons folder.
2- You *did* download and extract the KompUI.zip folder, but to the incorrect location. The path MUST be "_classic_\Interface\AddOns\KompUI"
If you open the KompUI folder, you should see several texture files such as "buff_corner_class_border.tga"

Panther is a user interface replacement I started releasing back in 2008, it became popular all over the world which always amazed me, and was in the top 10 donwloaded UIs and though I've taken extended breaks from WOW, every time I come back is a new challenge to see if I can get my UI working with current WOW. The UI changes the look and feel of the game through the use of my own custom graphics, keybindings, it's a near complete augmentation while making quite a few things more convenient and effective (at least to me) and I am working on the thing all the time to improve it, and sometimes mess it all up and have to rethink, it helps with reaction time which is crucial for a healer and rogue. I don't play any other classes, but it seems it could be good there too, and may make you a more effective player overall. I hope you enjoy it.

This version is based on the 8.2 Ptr version of nUI (nUI_820_30827_0a).

Hopefully a single version of the addon will work on Classic and Live but for now I will keep them as separate addons until everything has been tested out and confirmed as working.

I spent a few hours relogging in to catch all the log in errors on a single character and then played for a minutes to make sure no regular combat errors appeared. I haven't checked every character yet but I have them set up to test out tomorrow ( assuming I am allowed in )

Please can people with access test this and let me know of any errors that may occur. Thanks in advance.

INSTALLATION




Step 1: Backup your current UI. If you already have ElvUI installed, backup your current ElvUI profiles.

Step 2: Ensure WoW is closed/exited, completely to desktop.

Step 3: Install ElvUI (Classic). LINK

Step 4: Install WeakAuras 2 (Classic). LINK

Step 5: Download KompUI.zip and extract to your _classic_ addons folder.
KompUI.zip can be downloaded from the big "Download" button on this page, or from this LINK

Step 6: Launch WoW. Go to the character select screen. If you see an addon warning, click "Load Anyways". Log into your character.

Step 7: If this is your first time using ElvUI, click "Skip Process". Otherwise, type /ec in chat, and click "Profiles" in the ElvUI settings window.
Click "Import Profile"

TROUBLESHOOTING

Q: "I have green boxes! How do I fix it?"

A: If you followed the steps above, and you have green boxes all over your screen (see screenshot below), then this means that WeakAuras can not find textures.

Common reasons this happens:
1 - You did not download and extract the KompUI.zip file from the "DOWNLOAD" link in the upper-right corner of this site. You must download the KompUI.zip file and extract the folders into your Addons folder.
2- You *did* download and extract the KompUI.zip folder, but to the incorrect location. The path MUST be "_classic_\Interface\AddOns\KompUI"
If you open the KompUI folder, you should see several texture files such as "buff_corner_class_border.tga"

Simple Design - This UI keeps clutter to a minimum!
Easy to Read - Information is still visible, but only when needed!
Class Colors - The UI's color changes depending on what class you're playing!
DataBar Cycling - You can click the little arrows to the left and right of your XP bar to also see your rep and honor bars!
Immersive - This addon compilation sticks to the basics. Only the base look of the UI is modified. This compilation does NOT include addons that might alter or break the immersion and feel of the Classic WoW experience, such as map addons, LFG addons, or quest addons.



INSTALLATION




Step 1: Backup your current UI. If you already have ElvUI installed, backup your current ElvUI profiles.

Step 2: Ensure WoW is closed/exited, completely to desktop.

Step 3: Install ElvUI (Classic). LINK

Step 4: Install WeakAuras 2 (Classic). LINK

Step 5: Download KompUI.zip and extract to your _classic_ addons folder.
KompUI.zip can be downloaded from the big "Download" button on this page, or from this LINK

Step 6: Launch WoW. Go to the character select screen. If you see an addon warning, click "Load Anyways". Log into your character.

Step 7: If this is your first time using ElvUI, click "Skip Process". Otherwise, type /ec in chat, and click "Profiles" in the ElvUI settings window.
Click "Import Profile"

You may update ElvUI and WeakAuras freely.
Only ElvUI 1.07 or above is supported. Earlier versions are no longer supported (update!!)

Download the KompUI.zip from this site and replace the KompUI folder in your addons folder.
Copy the ElvUI string in Step 7. In-game, type /ec>Profiles>Import Profile. Paste the text and Import.
Copy the Weakaura strings in Step 8 and Step 9. In the pop ups after pasting the code into "External>Import", select "Update Auras" and ensure "Add Missing Auras" is checked. Click "Import as Update"

Type /reload in-game. This will ensure all UI features work correctly after importing the string updates.

Q: "X feature is missing from ElvUI!"

A: Please note that ElvUI is in very early stages and is receiving updates frequently. If you are experiencing issues such as castbar lag, inability to hide or move certain ElvUI frames, or issues with timers such as buffs, please ensure you are using the latest version of ElvUI.

Q: "I have green boxes! How do I fix it?"

A: If you followed the steps above, and you have green boxes all over your screen (see screenshot below), then this means that WeakAuras can not find textures.

Common reasons this happens:
1 - You did not download and extract the KompUI.zip file from the "DOWNLOAD" link in the upper-right corner of this site. You must download the KompUI.zip file and extract the folders into your Addons folder.
2- You *did* download and extract the KompUI.zip folder, but to the incorrect location. The path MUST be "_classic_\Interface\AddOns\KompUI"
If you open the KompUI folder, you should see several texture files such as "buff_corner_class_border.tga"

PS: AbyssUI is lightweight, it will not make your PC/Game slow (file size is due to textures). For comparison, Windows Notepad use about 2MB of RAM, AbyssUI use 300KB (idle) up to 800KB (40+ raids). Also AbyssUI will mostly not conflict with any other AddOn or UI (rare to happen), so you are free to use a lot of modifiers.

PS: AbyssUI is lightweight, it will not make your PC/Game slow (file size is due to textures). For comparison, Windows Notepad use about 2MB of RAM, AbyssUI use 300KB (idle) up to 800KB (40+ raids). Also AbyssUI will mostly not conflict with any other AddOn or UI (rare to happen), so you are free to use a lot of modifiers.

Top 5 AddOns that I personally use and recommend using with AbyssUI (check their work, they are all lightweight addons).

HOW TO step by step *i am very sorry for my english, i hope you will understand :P

1. Open WoW/_retail_/ and make a backup of your WTF and Interface folders and delete them from wow folder
2. Unzip my UI pack and change names of Account Number/Server Name/Character Name that are in WTF folder to yours, from your fresh-backuped WTF
3. Paste my pack to your WoW/_retail_/ (its important, u must change all these folder names before copying)
4. Run WoW and log in on char which have been chosen in "character name" folder
5. Type /reflux switch asdqwe (ui reload should happen)
6. Press alt+f4, fontain addon requires client reload to work
7. Run WoW and enjoy.



*u can now login on every char and repeat step 5

Preamble
Last year Scott made the decision to step away from nUI development and maybe even WOW itself. So that his baby would go forward without his assistance he placed the addon under Creative Commons license to enable others to carry on maintaining it. I was one of the people he asked to be one of the developers going forward. At the time I wasn't playing the game at all due to funds but as per usual, expansion came along and it was time to get my characters up to speed, as well as my addons. So I monitored the CurseForge page and found disappointing customers, I then emailed Scott and had no reply. I decided I would take up the baton and try and keep it at least running with as few problems as possible, my skills are not on par with Scott so it may take me longer to identify some errors than it would for him.
